Nipte uitschakeling in tweede ronde beloften
Britt Eerland heeft zich niet kunnen plaatsen voor de kwartfinales in de beloftenreeks van de Open van Duitsland.
Nadat Eerland haar kwalificatiegroep had gewonnen, wist ze in de eerste ronde te stunten tegen de Japanse Maeda. In de tweede ronde had Eerland zicht op een nieuwe stuntzege tegen Lee Ho Ching.
Britt wist zich immers naar een 2-0 voorsprong in games te spelen tegen de Hongkongse. Na verlies in de derde game werd de vierde game pas met het kleinste verschil door Lee gewonnen (10-12). Daarna kwam Eerland er jammer genoeg niet meer aan te pas.
