Het jongens juniorenteam speelde bij het EJK de eerste 2 duels in een vierkamp waarvan de winnaar om de plaatsen 29-32 gaat spelen.
In de 1e match tegen Luxemburg bleef een misstap van Barry Berben in de openingsmatch zonder grote gevolgen omdat Lode Hulshof (2x, foto) en Floris ZurMuhlen (1x) gemakkelijk overeind bleven.
In de 2e match tegen Litouwen bleven alledrie de junioren met 3-0 hun tegenstander de baas. Nederland is hierdoor nog 1 duel verwijderd van de poulewinst.
